Undergraduate
Health Services Administration:
Any student who has less than 36 credits should be advised by the academic advising center in the Office of Undergraduate Studies, located in PC 249 at the UP campus.
Any student between 36 and 60 credits can declare an intended major in Health Services Administration at the lower division level and be advised in the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs in HLS 566. You can call us at 305-348-7777 or email us at phadvise@fiu.edu.
Any student with 60 or more credits, a 2.0 GPA and the CLAST requirement satisfied, may declare a major in Health Services Administration at the upper division level and be advised in the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs in HLS 566. Students who are ready to take "core integrated courses" (section III on advising sheet) or "upper division electives" (section IV on advising sheet), or would like multi-term program advising, should request an advising appointment with the HSA faculty, located in HLS 551W3. Any student between 36 and 60 credits can declare an intended major in Dietetics and Nutrition at the lower division level and be advised in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition, located in HLS 449 (305-348-2879), or in the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs, located in HLS 566 (305-348-7777).
Any student with 60 credits and above, a 2.0 GPA and the CLAST requirement satisfied may declare a major in Dietetics and Nutrition at the upper division level and be advised in the Department of Dietetics, located in HLS 450 (305-348-2879).
Social Work :

Any student between 36 and 60 credits can declare an intended major in Social Work at the lower division level and be advised in the School of Social Work, located on the fourth floor of the green library (305-348-5880), or in the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs, located in HLS 566 (305-348-7777).
Any student with 60 credits and above, a 2.5 GPA and the CLAST requirement satisfied may declare a major in Social Work at the upper division level and be advised in the School of Social Work, located on the fourth floor of the Green Library (305-348-5880).
