PH.D
Ph.D in Public Health
Specialization in Community Nutrition, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology, and Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
Full admission into the Ph.D program requires the following :

Four year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution or, in the case of foreign students, from a well established institution of higher learning that is authorized to grant degrees by appropriate authorities in that country.

Minimum of a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 upper division credit hours in their undergraduate coursework, or a graduate degree form an accredited institution.

Official GRE or GMAT scores (scores must be no more than five years old). Appropriate nationally-normed examinations are required for the Ph.D. program. The University’s goal is to select Ph.D. students whose scores are at or above the 60th percentile (e.g., 1120 combined verbal and quantitative on the GRE).

International applicants require official TOEFL scores.

A resume including both educational and professional experience.

Three letters of recommendation.

A personal statement.

A master’s thesis, project, or published manuscripts resulting from master’s work in which the applicant is among the first three authors (Optional)

Ph. D in Dietetics and Nutrition
Full admissions into the Ph.D program requires the following :

Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition or related field.

A minimum of 3.3 GPA.

A minimum score of 1000 on the GRE. (A GRE score of at least 1120 (500 minimum verbal and quantitative) is required for departmental funding in a form of graduate teaching or research assistantship.
- International applicants require official TOEFL scores.

Three letters of reference addressing the student’s ability to successfully undertake doctoral studies.

A statement of intent and research interests that match faculty research.
-
A copy of your master’s thesis or project in a published journal article on which you are one of the first three authors.
