Graduate

To be admitted as a graduate student, you must apply to FIU through the University Graduate School at http://gradschool.fiu.edu/admissions.html.  There is a $30 application fee. 

Your completion and submission of the FIU graduate admissions application will be your electronic signature, which is legally recognized by Florida Statutes.

Applications submitted after the deadlines might not be processed in time for admission into desired semester. International applications take longer to process and should be submitted as early as possible.

International graduate student applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum required scores for respective formats are:

Internet-Based TOEFL: 80
Paper-Based TOEFL: 550
IELTS - International English Language Test: 6.5
