PURPOSE:
Florida International University’s Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work is committed to recognizing outstanding South Floridians who are working to improve and maintain the health of the community. The awards are intended to recognize individuals and organizations for their contributions to public health.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- A Florida resident and works in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade or Monroe Counties
- Have made contributions that have improved the health and well-being and/or ensured the health and safety of South Floridians.
AWARD CATEGORIES:
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
- Environmental/Occupational Health and Public Safety
- Health Policy and Management
- Community Nutrition
- Social Work
SELECTION PROCESS:
Nominations must be received by March 1, 2010. The winners will be selected by the Paths of Public Health Awards Committee.
