The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition is pleased to announce that its two undergraduate programs have received full accreditation from the American Dietetic Association's Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (ADA/CADE).

The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) has been awarded its initial Accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education for the next 10 years until 2017. This was based on a peer review of the self study application of the Department and a site visit conducted during February of 2007 by ADA/CADE. This program prepares the students for a career in dietetics with the possibility of a supervised practicum either at FIU or elsewhere.
The Coordinated Program (CP) in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition has also been awarded continued Accreditation for a 10 year period until 2017 by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education. This Accreditation was also awarded based on a peer review of the self study document submitted by the Department and a site visit conducted during February of 2007. This limited access program prepares the students for a career in Dietetics and is open to graduate and the undergraduate students who fulfill the course work requirements and complete a CP application.
Congratulations!! |
