Breast Cancer Symposium

The 2008 Breast Cancer Symposium will be the first symposium sponsored by the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program in partnership with FIU and the UM Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute. Join us September 2nd, 2008 to promote breast cancer research at the FIU University Park Campus.

The purpose of the Breast Cancer Symposium is to bring together scientists from across the FIU campus in a forum to address the spectrum of questions and methodologies in breast cancer research. The structure of the workshop will support interaction among researchers by having oral presentations in plenary sessions.

Poster presentations will be solicited as well in a Research Competition. This competition will be open to all FIU campus students and researchers. Its purpose is to allow students to present their projects, proposals and results in a friendly, professional atmosphere in order to promote a collaborative breast cancer research environment and reward outstanding work by our graduate students and post-doctoral trainees.
