Master in Public Health/Health Policy and Management
Students enrolled in the MPH program are required to complete six (6) credits comprised of the Supervised Field Experience (3 credits) and an Integrative Seminar (3 credits). The Supervised Field Experience (SFE) is a capstone course, which provides an opportunity for graduate students in Public Health to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Field site opportunities for MPH students with a specialization in Health Policy and Management follow the requirements of the MPH degree, which focuses on public health and/or non-profit community organizations. However, limited opportunities for management related internships within health services organizations may be available dependent upon electives chosen by the student. Therefore, MPH/HPM students must consult with Dr. Pilar Martin and the HPM faculty advisor for site approval prior to contacting the facility for internship opportunities.
